Tourism

The surroundings of Liberec are ideal for tourism. Ještěd, Jizerské and Lužické mountains as well as Krkonoše and Český ráj offer many hiking and biking trails, observation towers and castles, rock formations, dams and other tourist attractions. Not far from the center of Liberec is the zoo, which is the oldest in Europe and the botanical gardens with a collection of carnivorous flowers, and the Victoria Regia flower with the largest flower in the world. A day trip to Prague, 100 km away, may also be interesting for foreign tourists particularly due to its history and architecture. The trip can be completed with a visit to one of the many famous restaurants.
